Course description
This course comprises the first and second stages of a three-semester Master of Microelectronic Engineering program. Introduced at the request of the Victorian government, it is part of an initiative to develop training programs in the semiconductor industry. It allows engineers to upgrade their skills and practical experience to satisfy industry requirements.
Course structure
Students can choose to take coursework subjects only, or include a minor thesis as part of their studies. Core subjects include Electronic Design Automation (EDA), EDA Tools and Design Methodology, Digital Systems Design, and Integrated Circuit Design.

Four-year Bachelor of Engineering in electronic, computer, or communication/telecommunication engineering, or four-year Bachelor of Science (Honours) or equivalent qualification in an appropriate field. Applicants with a three-year Bachelor of Science in an appropriate field or Bachelor of Engineering in another field may also be considered, but may be required to take additional (preliminary) subjects.
