Course description

This internationally recognised degree enables graduates to work in a wide variety of public health settings.

Exit options are available at Graduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma level.

Course structure

Part 1 comprises eight subjects, of which four are compulsory and others elective. Part 2 comprises eight subjects; participants stream into one of the public health specialisations. Students can complete Part 2 either by a research pathway that emphasises the development of skills in public health research, or by action learning, in which students develop the skills needed for working on a specific project in multidisciplinary streams. Both modes are supported by coursework.

Prerequisites

Prospective students are required to hold a degree or equivalent in a health sciences discipline plus a minimum of two years relevant career experience. Students without a degree but with significant experience are welcome to apply.
