Course description
This course provides opportunities for students to develop an understanding of neonatal intensive care (NICU) nursing through systematic analysis and reflection on the relationships between theory and practice.
Course structure
Exit options are available at two levels: Graduate Certificate (three core subjects) and Postgraduate Diploma (one core subject and two electives). There is also an alternative exit point at Graduate Certificate level; students may complete with a Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Neonatal Special Care) upon completing the requisite subjects. Master's students must complete 120 credit points (out of 180) at level 5, comprising either a group of subjects as a major stream of study, a clinical project, or a minor thesis.

Prerequisites
Registration as a Division 1 Nurse and current practising certificate with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) or equivalent.
