Course description

This course provides specialist training in the Gestalt approach to working with people. It aims to produce competent, ethical and creative practitioners capable of working in a range of health, education and community settings. In particular, graduates can expect to develop significant personal awareness and a high level of competency in this field.

Course structure

Students complete Master's level coursework subjects offered by Gestalt Therapy Australia (or equivalent), prior to or in conjunction with coursework research skills subjects and thesis components taught by La Trobe University.

Prerequisites

Three-year Bachelor degree or equivalent in a related discipline, and Introductory Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma of Gestalt Therapy offered by Gestalt Therapy Australia (GTA) or equivalent (equivalent to the GANZ minimum standard of 450 hours over a minimum of three years) - the latter with a minimum B grade average.
