Course description
This course leads students from an advanced professional qualification in an area of language and literacy to an increased focus on research across the range of concerns related to language in applied contexts. The first year may be satisfied by a Graduate Diploma or Honours degree in a relevant area such as TESOL, LOTE or Intercultural Studies. The program is available by coursework, a combination of coursework and a minor thesis, or by research.
Majors offered include: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL); LOTE teaching; Intercultural Communication; Literacy Education;
and Second Language Acquisition.
Students can undertake applied research relevant to their professional responsibilities and interests.
