Course description
This course aims to provides a sound background for further management training. While intended primarily for graduates, it is also a suitable entry point for practising managers without degrees. Graduates may progress to the Graduate Diploma in Management, designed to equip students with the core skills and knowledge required for administrative or management positions in any branch of public or private enterprise. In the case of non-graduate entrants, it should facilitate career advancement by providing an opportunity to enter a program that could culminate in a Master's degree.
Course structure
Students complete four subjects selected fromthe following list: Leadership and Change, Managing for Climate Change, Sustainability and Governance, Strategic Logistics Management, Accounting for Managers, Marketing for Managers, Public Policy and Its Impacts, and Managing Human Resources and Employment Relations (not all subjects are offered every semester). Graduates may articulate into the Graduate Diploma of Management.
Contact hours
Subjects are delivered in block mode over several weekends, in three modules. (39 contact hours per subject). Subjects are generally delivered in alternate years.
