Course description

This course enables graduates to extend their expertise or to pursue studies in any of the disciplines or areas of study from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Areas of study available include: Aboriginal studies, anthropology, archaeology, art history, Asian studies, Australian studies, Chinese, cinema studies, English, European studies, French, gender, sexuality and diversity studies, Greek studies, Hindi, history, Indonesian, international development, Italian, Japanese, legal studies, linguistics, media studies, philosophy, politics, religion and spirituality studies, sociology, Spanish, theatre and drama.

Course structure

Students select undergraduate subjects with a total value of 60 credit points (with no more than 45 credit points/three subjects at first-year level).

Contact hours

Approximately nine contact hours per week if studying full-time.

Prerequisites

Three-year undergraduate degree or equivalent. Applicants must provide original/certified copies of academic transcripts as proof of completion.

Additional information

Students studying a language may normally expect to study part-time over 2-3 years as language study is strictly sequential.

Mid-year entry (July intake) is also available.
