Course description

Studied concurrently with any La Trobe Bachelor's degree, it involves a three-year sequence in one language at beginner, intermediate or advanced level. Languages available are Chinese, French, Modern Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

In addition to practical language skills, the course offers the opportunity to acquire a basic understanding of the culture and society associated with each language. Students are also encouraged to apply for language scholarships, and in-country language programs conducted in selected Asian and European countries.
