Course description
This course allows students to complement a professional accounting qualification with the study of economic theory and practice. The accounting qualification covers various career-specific areas, including accounting, auditing, finance, business law and taxation. Students also study core areas of economics, and its application to particular areas and policy issues.
Course structure
Students undertake majors in accounting and economics, with the option of a third major or a minor.

Completion of accounting or economics facilitates 1 additional aggregate point per study. Performance in prerequisite studies and Business Studies (any) is also considered, along with Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) criteria.

Non-Year 12 selection may involve: ENTER/ATAR, Pi form, GPA, STAT Multiple Choice.
Extra requirements
Non-Year 12 applicants must complete and submit a VTAC Pi form if they wish other information to be considered during the selection process. This may include information such as work experience or reason for applying. Applicants may wish to provide other documentation in support of their application.
Prerequisites
VCE Units 3 &4: study score of at least 25 in English (ESL) or 20 in any other English, and 20 in Mathematics (any). Applicants with comparable qualifications are also considered.
