Course description
This course provides an opportunity to acquire foundation health management skills at a postgraduate level. Consistent with identified needs, content is designed to introduce both healthcare workers and managers to the formal study of the health sector, health services management, and the health policy context in which the manager works; the course assumes no specific prerequisite knowledge in management. Students develop key competencies in health management while exploring broader health policy and management concepts.
Course structure
Students complete four subjects, developing a personalised study program in consultation with the course coordinator - for example, focusing on strategic planning or quality.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least two years' professional experience in the health system.
