Course description
This course, an extension of the Master of Information Systems Management, aims to give students an understanding of industry-based IT tools and information systems concepts applied to business environments. It imparts knowledge and skills along four dimensions: industry-based IT tools, business subjects, business-focused IT subjects and an industry-based business intelligence project.
Industry-based IT tools include enterprise information systems (e.g. SAP), and business intelligence (e.g. SAS). Business-focused IT subjects include areas such as information systems design, information systems management, enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management, human computer interaction, business intelligence, entrepreneurship and IT data warehousing, knowledge management, IT project management and decision support systems.
Course structure
Students complete 13 compulsory subjects drawn from business and information technology disciplines, and three electives. They may also be selected by one or more of our industry partners for an internship program of up to 12 weeks.

IELTS (Academic) - minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0; or
TOEFL Computer-Based Test - A minimum score of 233 with a score of 5 in essay writing; or
TOEFL Paper-based Test - A minimum score of 575 with a score of 5 or more in the test of Written English; or
TOEFL Internet-based Test - A minimum score of 88 with no individual score less than 22; or
Completion of the English for Further Studies Advanced Stage 5B certificate at PG (postgraduate) level available from La Trobe Melbourne; or
Approved equivalent.
Academic entry requirements
An Australian Bachelor's degree, or an approved international equivalent, with a C Grade average.
