The Jonathan Mann Lecture is an annual public lecture held on the Albury-Wodonga campus of La Trobe University. Jonathan Mann was a local pioneer and businessman who recognised the importance of the Murray. These lectures are always on the theme ‘the Murray and its people’.
Unlike previous years, the 2011 lecture was delivered by individual speakers adopting a ‘community conversation’ format. This allowed key experts, stakeholders and audience members to be involved in a serious consideration of the central issues associated with water resource management in the Murray-Darling Basin.
