International Activities
La Trobe University is internationally recognised with strong partnership, teaching, research and exchange links with over 250 institutions across more than 40 countries.
La Trobe is a leading member of the International Network of Universities and is dedicated to serving the global community through internationalisation, innovative teaching and learning methods, and research.
This includes encouraging our students and staff to gain international experience, development of an internationalised curriculum and research programs, and the diversification of our student community.
International Network of Universities
La Trobe is a founding member of the International Network of Universities (INU); a group of 12 universities from 9 different countries. The INU aims to advance the internationalisation of its members through student and staff mobility, research collaboration and cooperation. At La Trobe, eligible students can apply for a travelling scholarship, offering the chance to study at one of our INU partners.
Off Shore Programs
La Trobe offers a number of courses which are taught entirely overseas. Students can complete or begin a La Trobe degree program outside Australia.
Student Mobility
Student mobility - often known as student exchange - is a strategic priority for La Trobe University. We provide opportunities for our students to participate in academic programs overseas and maintain active partnerships with over 80 institutions in more than 30 countries.
If you are a future or current student, we encourage you to consider student exchange. Spending time in another country can enrich your studies and many employers value international study. We will even provide you with a travel grant to cover costs.
